Design Syndicate FZE LLC ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the Practice Shift brand, respects your privacy and handles your personal data in line with UAE data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- Registration details: your name and email address.
- Payment details: processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that and holds it under its own privacy terms.
- Workshop media: photographs, video or recordings taken during the Workshop, which may include your image or voice (see clause 7 of the Terms).
- Wall profile: if you choose to submit one, a photo link, a short about line, and portfolio or social links. Approved profiles are publicly visible on our site (see clause 8 of the Terms).
- Communications: any messages you send us (for example, to hello@practiceshift.live).
- Usage data: aggregate, anonymous stats about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, device and browser, and country. We collect this through our analytics provider (see clause 4).
2. Why we use it
- To process your registration and payment and confirm your place.
- To send you Workshop instructions, setup guidance and updates.
- To photograph, film or record the event and use that material for promotion and marketing.
- To publish your wall profile on the public wall, once you submit it and we approve it.
- To respond to your questions and handle cancellations, transfers or refunds.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payment.
- Service providers that help us run the Workshop and our communications (for example, email or registration tools), acting on our instructions.
- Umami, our analytics provider, to understand how people use the site.
- Authorities, where we're required to by law.
4. Analytics
We use Umami to see how people find and use the site, so we can improve it. Umami is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate, anonymous stats like the pages you view, the buttons you click, your device and browser, and your country. We use this to understand our traffic and how people move from looking to registering.

5. How long we keep it
We keep registration and payment records for as long as needed to run the Workshop and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise them. Promotional media may be retained for ongoing marketing use.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop using your image in promotional material going forward. You can also ask us to remove your wall profile at any time. To make a request, email hello@practiceshift.live and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
